Chrono Caffe was founded out of a deep passion for horology and a personal experience that many collectors can relate to.
It all started when I purchased an ultra-luxury timepiece at a CHRISTIE’S AUCTION in New York. At first, it seemed perfect, but upon closer inspection, I realized it needed adjustments to the beat error and time rate. While the amplitude was impressive at 290, the timekeeping wasn’t quite right. I visited several watchmakers on 47th Street in New York City for calibration, but despite their efforts, the watch still wasn’t in line with the brand’s technical standards.
Determined to find the right expert, I searched for a watchmaker over United States who could properly adjust the hairspring and balance wheel. Unfortunately, none seemed to have the necessary skills or trustworthiness. After spending thousands of dollars and consulting multiple specialists without success, I eventually turned to the brand’s boutique. They sent the watch to Switzerland, where, after another significant investment and an agonizing 8-month wait, while travelling to different countries for my primary work, I visited multiple service centers to service my watch collection. However, I was often disappointed to find that none of these centers provided transparency—none showed me the worn-out or replaced parts, nor did they assure me that the repairs met the company’s standards, then the seed for Chrono Caffe was sown in my heart..
This lack of clarity led me to a decision to launch Chrono Caffe with Video Recorded Transparency of every stage of watch service, from disassembly to assembly, and include a thorough quality check. This way, every watch enthusiast can have peace of mind, knowing their timepiece is in the right hands. The core motto of Chrono Caffe is that one need not go through what I experienced. If any service center in the world had been offering this level of transparency and care, Chrono Caffe wouldn’t have been born. It’s our commitment to these high standards and the comfort of fellow watch enthusiasts that drives everything we do.
In speaking with fellow collectors from the USA, Europe, Dubai, and India, I realized that my experience wasn’t unique. Many watch enthusiasts around the world were facing similar difficulties with servicing, authenticating, and maintaining their esteemed timepieces. I knew there had to be a better way.
After four years of research and collaboration with top watchmakers, Our mission is to create a space where horology and hospitality come together, offering expert restoration and servicing for any timepiece—even crafting custom parts on a lathe.
Looking ahead, we are excited to expand globally, starting with India and extending to major cities across the USA, Europe, and Dubai. Chrono Caffe is more than just a service; it’s a sanctuary for watch lovers, where each timepiece is treated with the care, precision, and expertise it deserves. We understand the deep emotional connection between a collector and their watch, and we’re here to preserve it.
